At long last, the saga known as Houston's Funniest Person finally came to a close last week Tuesday and the winner of this year's grueling season is none other than John Gard

Big congrats are also in order for Runner-up Nathan Hosey and 3rd Place finisher Russell Simek!

Houston's Funniest Person Contest 2009 begins Tuesday, May 26th!

The semi-final rounds of the Houston's Funniest Person Contest wrapped up this past Tuesday with John Gard, Russell Simek, Theodore M.E. Taylor, and Ted Vincent advancing to the final round!

They will be joining Nathan Hosey, Donnie Johnson, Frank Garcia, and Reverend Bart this coming Tuesday, June 30th at 8 pm to battle it out and determine who will hold the title of Houston's Funniest Person!

Houston's Funniest Person Contest 2009 begins Tuesday, May 26th!

The first semi-final round of the Houston's Funniest Person contest came to its thrilling conclusion this past Tuesday and a big round of congratulations go out to Nathan Hosey, Donnie Johnson, Frank Garcia, and Reverend Bart who will all move on to the final round.

The last wave of finalists will be determined in the second semi-final on Tuesday, June 23rd, 8 pm at Houston's Laff Stop. Check out the line up here.

Another day, another round in the Bayou City (H-Town, to be exact).

The dust has finally cleared from the Round 3 of the Laff Stop's annual Houston's Funniest Person contest which took place yesterday and the winners are Gerald Torregosa, Allen Chao, Ted Vincent, and John Gard, all of whom will more move on to the semi-final round.

In the meantime, the preliminary madness continues with Round 4 next Tuesday at 8 pm.
